Gliga Violins Canada COVID-19 Safety Plan

Gliga Violins Canada - COVID-19 Safety Plan

Our retail store is now open. In order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, we operate on a "by appointment only" basis at the moment, making small steps towards the regular business schedule from before Covid-19.

Please email (using the form at the bottom of our "Contact Us" page), phone or text us (Cami's cell phone: 778-386-0209) and we will be happy to set up a date and time that works best for you.

We have good inventory, at the same prices from before Covid-19 and from before the collapse of the Canadian dollar.

"The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads in several ways. It can spread in droplets when a person coughs or sneezes. It can also spread if you touch a contaminated surface and then touch your face.

The risk of person-to-person transmission increases the closer you come to other people, the more time you spend near them, and the more people you come near.

The risk of surface transmission increases when many people contact the same surface and when those contacts happen over short periods of time."

Since the violins come in direct contact with the face when they are played, we have a strict protocol in place that ensures a safe experience for everyone:

  • Based on the size and layout of our store in conjunction with the physical distancing requirement of 2 m. between two people, our store's capacity is max. 3 people at a time.

  • To minimize the time spent at the store, prior to your arrival, we will prepare the instruments and accessories that you are interested in and have everything ready for you.

  • The beautiful weather allows us to keep the doors open, so you will not have to touch any door knobs or other surfaces when entering our store. We make sure that all surfaces are disinfected as often as possible, especially prior to your arrival.

  • Before handling the violins and other accessories, we all wash our hands with warm water and soap and we all wear face masks. We also provide hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol for those who want to be extra cautious.

  • If you do not have a face mask, we will happily provide you with a disposable mask. After the trial is over, we recommend washing/sanitizing hands again.

  • All instruments and accessories that have been tried in one session and have not been purchased, will be safely placed back on the shelf and left untouched for 48 hours, in no contact with any other instruments/accessories in the store.

  • We continue to offer a 7-day trial period for all instruments purchased in our store. Returned instruments will be left untouched for 3 days before being put back on the shelf.

If anyone is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms - fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis, headache, loss of taste or smell, a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes, please stay home. We will be very glad to assist you with purchasing an instrument and have it delivered to your home, free of charge.

If you have recently returned to Canada and you have no symptoms, you must quarantine (self-isolate) for 14 days. This is mandatory. You are at risk of developing symptoms and infecting others.

If you have recently returned to Canada and you have symptoms, you must isolate for 14 days. This is mandatory.

Best regards,
